In “Improve Alexa Ranking Tip 3” we will discuss submitting your blog to as many RSS & Blog Directories as possible, to boost your site traffic & Alexa Ranking.
It is an unfortunate fact of life, that many would be webmasters / Internet entrepreneurs seem to be of the opinion that there is one all singing and dancing magic formula, that when used will open the flood gates and herds of stampeding visitors will push your bandwidth limit through the roof!
Well I’m sorry to burst your bubble as it were, but after 2 years of hard graft working on my own websites, I have found no such magic potion. However, I have learnt that the only way your going to succeed is by commitment, hard work & dedication. Yes there are what is known as ” Black Hat ” tactics, that can give a huge boost to web traffic almost immediately, but these methods are very short lived & will often result in your website being banned & dropped from the search engines indexes. Even if you do not get banned, the use of Traffic Generators for example, will as previously discussed, push your bounce rate through the roof.
Get Your Website Into Public View
As metioned in a previous article, your website’s Alexa Ranking is based on site usage, therefore anything you can do in order to boost the number of visitors hitting your site on a regular basis, is ultimately going to have a positive effect on your Alexa ranking.
Two methods that have produced the best results for me, have been submitting my sites to RSS Directories & Do Follow Directories. Each of these methods in itself is just a trickle, a small stream so to speak, but when you add multiple streams together, we all know that you get a river..? How large & fast flowing a river will depend largely on the quality of your articles & the amount of effort you put into submitting to these directories. Having spent quite a bit of time browsing the net for various directories, I have come up with the following lists.

Now if you can set aside a little time in order to submit your site to both of these lists, not only will you get increased site traffic, but your RSS subscriptions should also increase considerably. Meanwhile don’t forget that Alexa is in the background watching & as your traffic gradually increases, so will your Alexa Traffic Ranking.
